Geriatrics
I have a specific draw to our older population. Having a board speciality in geriatrics is helpful, but the real joy comes in the relationships I develop with these folks. They are struggling along in a healthcare system that has essentially forgot about them or has over-prescribed them into a dysfunctional state. There is a specific alchemy that I see happen with movement and empowerment in this population. Whether it’s functional exercise, wellness programs, post-operative rehab, or dynamic gait/balance exercise, it is in the geriatric population that the old saying hold true the most. “Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care”
